As a Black, queer-identifying therapist, I bring both professional training and lived experience to the therapy space. I specialize in working with individuals navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, racial trauma, and identity exploration.
My approach is kind, open-minded and patient. My foundation is always from a liberatory stance while using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT and Narrative Therapy. I believe strongly in the connection between the mind and body and utilize somatic therapy in my sessions--encouraging clients to find their own strategies for healing movement. I believe and have found true that though I have been deemed “expert” in the therapy space, that each of my clients have a world of knowledge that can help them heal and me grow as a therapist.
I received my B.A. at the Illustrious Howard University (AWW H-U!), spent some amazing years in Mozambique with the Peace Corps and finally, went on to earn my Master’s Degree at Simmons College (now Simmons University) in Boston MA. I spent a decade learning and growing in community health and slowly started to build and expand Liberation Wellness Collective over the past 5 years.
I am so glad that you have found your way to my page and look forward to connecting with you!
