WHAT ARE YOUR THERAPY FEES?

For individual therapy (minimum of 53 minutes) we charge $150

WHAT IS THE THERAPY PROCESS?

• First, you will meet for a 15 minute consultation. This consultation call is very casual and is an opportunity for you to ask me questions that you might have about my style, and who I am as a therapist. I will also ask you some questions about some of your therapy goals and history with therapy. We will have an opportunity to schedule a follow-up therapy session if it works for both of us.

• During our first session, I will ask you additional questions about your life and what brings you to therapy to get to know you better. We will also discuss your therapy goals: where would you like to see yourself in 3 months? 6 months? And beyond.

For the rest of our time together, we will work on these therapy goals and I will support you in identifying patterns that have helped (and sometimes harmed) you. I promise to walk alongside you through all the ups and downs of life--free of judgment and shame!

I’VE NEVER HAD THERAPY BEFORE, WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

I recognize how challenging it can be to reach out for help for the first time so congratulations on making this decision! It is my responsibility to help you feel comfortable and to build a trusting relationship with you. Some folks who are new to therapy report feeling some discomfort in talking about themselves for an extended period of time but I will help you by asking you questions and learning about you. You are in control of the session and decide what we will and will not talk about! (And yes, you can ask me questions about me!)

WHAT ARE YOUR PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS?

Melissa is a Licensed Independent Clinical social worker. She obtained a Masters of Social Work at Simmons College and worked for over a decade at a community health center in Boston, MA.
